Multi-lingual SubTitling System Encoder

The STM Encoder is a Windows based program used to encode multilingual subtitles in the video signal. It is used in conjunction with the µSTM/E to insert subtitle data from four different files into the video signal. The data is encoded as eight bytes per frame on a video line, resulting in a data channel of nearly 240 bytes per second capacity. The STM Encoder has room for expansion to accomodate additional channels, close caption encoding, or open captioning, separately or simultaneously. It can work concurrently with files of different formats (Gélogic STM, ImageLogic LLP, Cheetah ASC), and send its output to multiple destinations like the (µSTM/E, the close caption encoder µCCI and/or a character generator like the µSTM/GC, as well as the multifunctionnal GigaDVP.

The STM Encoder can also encode XDS information, including v-chip, manually by filling an electronic form or from a playlist.
