µSTM/GC

The µSTM/GC is a cost effective character generator with a VITC time code reader. The µSTM/GC can be used for both production or playback of subtitle.

In its fixed pitch font version, the µSTM/GC can:

Display four lines of 32 fixed pitch characters
Four fonts (224 character set)

In its proportional font version, the µSTM/GC can:

Display two lines of text with characters up to 64 video line high
Typically 35 to 40 characters per line
Four fonts (224 character set)
Wide range of fonts available, including Cyrillic, Hebraic, Greek, Arabic, Inuit, etc

Both versions of the µSTM/GC have the following features:

White character over shadowed contour (optional transparent box)
VITC time code reader
Subtitle editor (STM Edit) available for subtitling file creation
DDE server, ActiveX, OLE Automation controller to allow subtitle editing and insertion from commercial software packages (e. g. Word, Excel...)
Automatic subtitle insertion software accepting AutoCap (*.LLP), Cheetah (*.ASC) and proprietary format files. Additional formats can be supported using conversion programs
